Louise Quilted Chore Coat

$450.00
sold out

No, you’re not seeing double!

This vintage Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt dates back to the 1930’s - and was big enough to create not one, but two quilt coats! Our original quilt coat design, the Louise Quilted Chore Coat has it all in this iteration: the signature boxy style has been extended in length and the quilt has been repurposed to feature the scalloped edge as the new hem of the coat - it’s the best little detail to showcase the hexie pattern! On the inside, in addition to our signature oversized interior pockets you’ll find vintage grosgrain ribbon as a seam detail, and bias binding in pink seersucker to complete the coat loop, neckline, cuffs and pockets. Finishing off the coat are vintage acrylic buttons sourced right here in Chicago!

Details:

Every quilt coat includes two signature oversized pockets on the interior of the coat - meaning the pattern of the quilt is never disrupted. We believe in the finest garment finishing techniques and have over 15 years of garment construction and tailoring experience. Every seam and edge of the garment is finished with bias binding and vintage grosgrain ribbon, and includes a coat loop to hang our garment from.

Measurements:

Center front to hem: 30”

Bust: 20” (40” total)

Waist: 20” (40” total)
