Amy Quilted Chore Coat with Shearling Collar
Our best selling quilt coat style is back - and this time the Amy Quilted Chore Coat gets the luxury treatment in every sense of the word. Complete with a genuine, oversized shearling collar, this coat is constructed from a nine patch quilt estimated to be made in the 1930’s - plenty of sunbleached fabrics and hand sewn darning back this up. What makes it extra special, and part of our reworn/reworked process is that we’ve added a little extra mending of our own - discover our own patchwork mending style completely transformed by hand beading and embroidery. Genuine glass bugle and seed beads as well as sequins make up the embellishment, completely transforming the original quilt and elevating the textile from its origin. This coat is the first of its kind, paving the way for a new tradition in the house of Kiki’s Quilty Pleasures and is truly perfect for dressing up or down in a variety of seasons.
